KISSES AND WELCOME YOU'LL FIND BEFORE YOU,

AND THE OFTENER YOU COME HERE

Welcome To My Casa Bella

My Casa Bella- means-my beautiful home- but it can mean so many other things. How you make your home a home. The sounds of children or pets playing. The aroma of scones in the oven or a lilac candle burning. The flowers blooming in your garden. The home grown vegetables ready to be picked. Grandma's quilt at the foot of the bed. A fire to curl up to with a good book. Or just a family spending time together with love, laughter and a good time.

How are you all doing this evening?
I'm not too bad,
still trying to take it real easy, even
though that is
very hard for me to do right now. I'm
not very patient
so this whole healing thing is just
getting old for me!!
But, I know I have no choice in
this one. I learn
quickly if I'm overdoing it, so right now
I'm not even trying
to overdue it, because I pay for it, and if
you read my last post,
I don't handle pain well, and any little
tiny bit of pain I feel,
I freak out!!!!
So today I did go to work, only for an hour
thank goodness
its an easy job and my boss is so very
understanding,
I did only what I could do and no more.
It made me feel
I got something accomplished today.
But since I am home and
I am a little better it was time to get back
into a routine.
So every morning, I make my coffee, feed
my kitties inside and my
one outside cat, then when coffee is done,
its time for some
spiritual reading. My goal is to read the Bible
in one year, although I must
admit, I've not been very good at doing. So
Monday was a new day.
I know when I take the time out to do that then
my day goes well,
and I feel better. So this morning I did that,
went to work, ran an errand
and came home feeling like I ran a marathon.
Which I hear is very normal
after major surgery, UGH!! Surgery!! Still
can't believe I did that, but I
knew I had to. So, tonight DH went out and
I decided to put on some
music and do
a very light cleaning. I cleaned up
my kitchen.
That felt good, now I decided to come
on here and just say
Hi!!

  3. I'm hoping you're feeling better. I had endometriosis and had 2 surgeries. When they found it in 1987, I was only 31 yo and had just had a hysterectomy for fibroids. Because we had not agreed to a radical hysterectomy, I only had the endo cauterized off and was sent on my way after 5 days in the hospital. Exactly 2 years and 1 month later, they took the rest and I mean all of it. The endo had grown to the base of my kidneys and was so intrusive that there was no other way to get rid of it. I actually felt so much better that I was up walking and moving around right after surgery. BUT nobody told me how miserable I'd be without ESTROGEN!!!!! Long story short, I took HRT for 12 years and then when my little sister had a double masectomy, the dr. took me off all HRT and I've done fine. Hot flashes are better here lately as I get older but I just deal with it.
OK, feel better, please and take good care of yourself AND for goodness sake, read your Bible Daily!!!!
DH has Bible Highlights tonight....oh my....nagging and weeping....lol. That Dehlila sure gave us women a bad name.....lol
    Take care, Sis!

  6. Glad to hear you're not over doing it. I'm sure it felt good to get out even if only to work for a little while.
I am totally with you on the low pain threshold.

Keeping up with weekly Bible reading has always been a challenge for me, but I've done much better the last couple of years. Although I do admit that I have trouble staying focused through certain parts...Joshua and the land assignments...my mind definitely wandered a bit during those chapters. LOL

    Take care of yourself!

  7. I know what you mean, Kim, some of them I just try to get through because, oh my, its hard..lol
Monika, we were given I think it was 3 different bible reading schedules by our C.O. and that's what I'm using. I can scan it and email it to you if you want.
Thanks Sheri for your sweet comment. I'm trying my best to take it easy...:)

  8. Hey Arlene ~ I'm so glad to hear you are able to get about a little more now. I imagine major surgery does take quite some time for your body to heal. It's amazing how much procedures or surgeries can take from our energy but I guess thats because our bodies are devoting all forces to healing itself. So it's good you are pacing yourself and not overdoing it. =)
Its so good you have an understanding boss. That does help the work situation. I know of some bosses who are not reasonable and that makes the healing process so much more emotional & stressful.
Good idea to try and read the Bible in a year, esp while you find yourself with extra time. I hope to do the same one of these days myself. I'm sure it will be a source of encouragement as well.
Well it sounds like you are recovering nicely, even though it is difficult at times. But good to hear the progress and that you are hanging in there! =) So keep up the positive attitude and keep looking forward. Sending hugs your way ~ Jessica

  10. I'm glad you are healing, Arlene, and the surgery is over. Sounds like you have really been through the ringer over the years with the endometriosis. I hope things just continue to improve for you from this point on. Sounds like you have a warm and wonderful hubby, and it's really nice to hear you're feeling so well taken care of.
